The tulips in Flevoland are blooming according to their own schedule this year, surprising with a faster flowering period than expected. April does what he wants! For this reason, Tulip Route Flevoland has decided to start earlier than planned. Still want to see lots of flowering tulip fields? Then don’t wait too long and get going soon!
This decision has required an extra effort from both the volunteers and organization and the participating companies and starting locations, for which the flexibility and dedication are greatly appreciated.
Because of this early start and the speed of the tulip bloom, Tulip Route Flevoland has decided to temporarily close ticket sales for the last week of the scheduled period. Through Sunday, April 28, tickets are available for routes through the tulip fields and participating businesses.
Despite these modifications, the bike routes remain open. A leisurely bike ride through the polder is always a great experience, regardless of the tulips’ flowering phase. In addition, the Tulip Art Route in downtown Dronten will continue through Saturday, May 4, so visitors can still enjoy art and culture combined with tulips even after the car routes close.
