Tulips for Almere’s birthday

19 December 2025

On Wednesday, December 17, some tulip bulbs went into the ground in Almere! We offered these to Loes Jongen, project manager and center manager in Almere Center. It immediately formed a nice gift in honor of the 50th anniversary of the city. In planting it, we were helped by students from Pro-Almere, a school for practical education. The school has a theme week focusing on helping others. Most of the bulbs are in a large planter on Station Square, and are planted in the shape of the number “50. This is because the kickoff of the tulip route coincides with the city’s 50th anniversary. The bulbs can also be found in other places in the city center.
