Over the past few weeks, the colorful seas of tulips in the Flevopolder have already attracted a lot of eyes and visitors enjoyed the “Saturdays of Tulip Time” in Lelystad and Dronten. The Tulip Routes were open through Tuesday, April 29.
Even though the trails are closed, you can still enjoy tulip splendor in other ways for a while.
Tulip Art Route

Tulip Lecture
In May, together with Aeres Hogeschool and main sponsor Countus, we are organizing the Tulip Lecture. We’ll update you on the role of the tulip. Because it is impossible to imagine the Flevoland landscape without the tulip. The seas of tulips provide a beautiful experience of the countryside every spring. But you don’t get a healthy tulip harvest by itself. It requires a lot of attention to soil vitality and use of chemicals. In other words, how can we keep growing the tulip as sustainable and future-proof as possible? And how do we ensure the smallest possible footprint?
We, together with specialists from the field of tulip cultivation and educators in agricultural economics, would be happy to discuss it with you. For more information about the date and registration, keep an eye on this website.
